Workers Compensation Discounts
Members of the chamber that assume a drug–free workplace policy can be certified for a 7½% discount through the carrier of their choice. Certification is easy through the chamber’s Drugs Don’t Work Program and can yield significant savings on mandatory workers compensation coverage.

Networking and Building Your Brand!
Members of the chamber have their choice of attending 12 events throughout the year that are completely free of charge for any number of employees. That is a value of nearly $200 per year. They include the (6) bi–monthly Business After Hours Events, (2) Legislative Breakfasts held in the spring and winter and (4) Executive Welcome Breakfast Mixers held quarterly. Annual Meeting
Held in February of every year, the Chamber’s Annual Meeting features well–known, high–profile speakers, the traditional passing of the gavel and the presentation of the revered Lester S. Moody Aware of Excellence.
Annual Golf Classic Presented by First Bank
Held in May of every year, the Chamber’s annual golf outing is held on the beautiful 27–hole Gordon Lakes Golf Course and features an 18–hole shotgun start scramble with over 200 players. It is the next best thing to the watching the world’s most famous golf tournament!
Annual Women in Business Signature Event
The mission of the Women in Business Program is to strengthen the business community by providing programs and services that enhance the professional and personal goals of women. Held every fall, the Annual Women in Business Signature Event is one of the largest, high profile events in Augusta featuring nationally renowned speakers that exemplify role models that are high heals in high places. Past speakers have included Hala Moddelmog, President of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Jane Seymour.
Pre and Post Legislative Breakfasts
Each spring and winter, members of the chamber gather to focus on the activity of state government and its impact on the business environment. These events focus on an exchange between the local delegation of Georgia lawmakers and members interested in straight forward and focused discussion on Georgia public policy. Free To Members
Annual DC Leadership Trip
Each year a delegation of community leaders from three counties and four chambers visit Washington DC in order to meet with the region’s elected officials and update them on policy matters important to the Augusta Region.
Red Carpet/Augusta Showcase
In partnership with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Allies, local development authorities and many private sector partners, the Augusta Metro Chamber hosts the Red Carpet Tour and Augusta Showcase each year during the first week of April. This investment attraction program geared towards to existing and new business expansion, coincides with the Masters® Golf Tournament each year as an opportunity to host top executives from around the world.
Annual Legislative Conference
The Annual Legislative Conference, held each fall, is designed to bring together many community organizations and leaders for a comprehensive summit that examines the conditions and needs for developing a community–wide legislative agenda and action for change in Georgia public policy.
Quarterly Member Economic Luncheon
The mission of these quarterly events are to promote and stimulate economic growth through timely and insightful programs on a broad range of topics with particular emphasis on global economic trends, corporate success and turnaround. These events feature high–profile speakers and garner the attention of many members within the chamber as well as other community leaders.
Quarterly Executive Welcome Breakfast Mixers
This event is designed to honor new executives into the community by providing an opportunity for them to meet and interact with a large population of the chamber’s members and community leaders. This mixer–style, continental breakfast setting, offers maximum networking opportunities for both executives and the staff. Free To Members
Bi–Monthly Business After Hours
This traditional chamber event is held every other month at various locations and offers premium networking is a relaxed, social setting. Companies throughout the region host these events as a way of showcasing their business as well as offering a service to their fellow chamber members. Free To Members
Monthly Women in Business Luncheons
Monthly luncheons, held on the third Tuesday of every month, offer women and men alike, the opportunity to have lunch, socialize and hear programs on everyday topics that affect their personal and professional lives. The mission of the Women in Business Program is to strengthen the business community by providing programs and services that enhance the professional and personal goals of women.
