Economic Development Activities
Red Carpet/Augusta Showcase
In partnership with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Allies, local development authorities and many private sector partners, the Augusta Metro Chamber hosts the Red Carpet Tour and Augusta Showcase each year during the first week of April. This investment attraction program geared towards to existing and new business expansion, coincides with the Masters® Golf Tournament each year as an opportunity to host top executives from around the world.

Augusta First in Medicine
This initiative, in partnership with Augusta Tomorrow, is an on-going effort to develop collaborative strategies across medical institutions in the Augusta Region in order to enhance the collective impact of the area’s high critical mass of health care delivery, research and education.
Education/Workforce Initiatives
The Business Education Advisory Council of the Augusta Metro Chamber is dedicated to providing programs and services within the community that will lead to a well educated and well trained workforce. Recent highlights of their activities include the funding and execution of a teacher survey designed to strategically understand the needs and conditions of the classroom as well as a review of a recent Performance Audit conducted for the Richmond County School District. Increasing graduation rates within the area’s public school systems as well as tools that enhance academic achievement are priorities for the Council. To view a list of Council Members, click here.
